CheyOnna joined the Social Insights team in August 2022.
Dr. CheyOnna Sewell is passionate about abolition, intersectional theory and practice, and participatory research. As a queer Black mother, she is committed to intersectional analyses and collaborative approaches to evaluation. She specializes in multi-method approaches, relationship building, and equity-centered programming. With over ten years of experience in academic and community settings, she is skilled in multi-method approaches to evaluation, geospatial analyses, project management, and facilitation. She especially enjoys projects that warrant creative approaches to research and evaluation.
CheyOnna is a Research and Evaluation Manager I at Social Insights and works on projects utilizing qualitative, quantitative, mixed-methods, and participatory approaches including work with the Rockefeller Foundation, Aspen Institute, Borealis Black-led Movement Fund, Southern Center for Human Rights, and Women’s Democracy Lab. To center joy in her life, she knits, gardens, and roller skates.
