Jasmine joined the Social Insights team in February 2025.
Jasmine Engleton is an Early Career Research Fellow at Social Insights and a research analyst at the Justice Information Resource Network (JIRN) and its Center for Victim Research (CVR) to strengthen researcher-practitioner partnerships. Passionate about supporting Black survivors of violence, Jasmine focuses on survivor-led and transformative justice approaches to healing from trauma, including institutional betrayal and secondary victimization.
She has extensive experience in qualitative research methods and trauma-informed interviewing, contributing to studies on housing instability among domestic violence survivors and criminal legal engagement among sexual assault survivors who have experienced institutional betrayal. As an evaluator, she has worked with community-based organizations to assess the needs for transformative justice practices and implementation of flexible funding programs in domestic violence agencies
Through her work, Jasmine is committed to supporting organizations and individuals dedicated to helping Black women from diverse backgrounds heal from violence. Her passion for justice, healing, and survivor well-being is evident in all aspects of her work.
Outside of research and evaluation, she enjoys roller-skating, listening to music, and reading short stories.
