“We are in an imagination battle… and I must engage my own imagination in order to break free.”
―adrienne maree brown

Jordan joined the Social Insights team in February 2025.

Jordan Mosby is a sociology Ph.D. candidate at Brown University and a researcher focused on migration, racial equity, and education policy. With expertise in qualitative research, Jordan has worked with organizations such as the Wallace Foundation and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to produce actionable insights on leadership, equity, and systemic change.

His dissertation, *Moving South: The Post-Migratory Experiences of the Black Middle-Class*, examines the social and political lives of Black migrants who relocate to the D.C. and Atlanta metro area as a part of the new Great Migration. Through in-depth interviews and qualitative analysis, his research explores how these migrants socially and politically integrate into new communities. Jordan earned an M.A. in Sociology from Brown University and a BA in Sociology from Morehouse College.

Jordan finds joy in exploring travel, discovering new music, hiking, and engaging in conversations that challenge and expand perspectives.
