Yopina joined the Social Insights team in August 2022.
Dr. Yopina Pertiwi (she/her) is passionate about social justice, equity, and leadership development. A social psychologist by training with more than fifteen years of experience, Yopina specializes in developing questions that tell the stories of the participants, utilizing non-mainstream and indigenous approaches in research and evaluation, and analyzing data types using various platforms.
She is a Research and Evaluation Associate at Social Insights who supports research project management and external engagement. Yopina brings a global perspective to her projects at Social Insights which include Black Organizing for Leadership and Dignity, Womenβs Democracy Lab, Rockefeller Equity and Economic Opportunity Initiative, and the Aspen Global Leadership Network. Yopina has experience working in various international settings, including serving as a University Lecturer, Researcher, and Chair of the Office of International Affairs Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Gadjah Mada, the Executive Secretary at the Center for Indigenous and Cultural Psychology, and Research Intern at the Knowledge Community on Children in India.
Yopina is fluent in English & Bahasa Indonesia. She finds joy in cooking, trying foods from different cultures, traveling to new places, and meeting new people.
